I am a Christian and I admit it, like many people I am drawn to Super Heroes.  The miraculous power, the strength, the action, the morality, the never-ending battle between good and evil, it all make us strive to be better, to be more.  Today’s fascination with heroes fills a need in the human spirit for role models, of showing us what we’re capable of even with our faults in a fallen world.

Super Heroes from the Bible stand as some of the first real life role models to help guide us in our struggles and battles in the world.  Moses parted the Red Sea and held back walls of water.  Samson destroyed a temple with his bare hands, the boy David slayed the giant Goliath.  Elijah flew off into heaven on a Chariot of Fire.  While today’s comic super heroes gain their power from the yellow sun, gamma rays, spider bites, and lightning bolts, the Biblical heroes gained their powers from the true source of all power, the Lord God Almighty.  God has taken the meek, the young, the old and the powerless and shown his strength over and over again.

I invite you to enjoy the sculptures on my website and click on the links to remind yourself of their stories so you can make them new again with your family.   Remember there is still a world to be saved and the same God who empowered the Super Heroes of old has empowered his people to do mighty works today to fulfill his purposes.  May God Bless and Empower you today.
